C. M. Sc. College, Darbhanga has emerged as an institution of excellence and a model college due to its continuous efforts to remain on the cutting edge of knowledge. It was re-accredited with an “A” Grade by NAAC in the year 2016.
No. 2 M.L.S.M. College, Darbhanga
The foundation of M.L.S.M. College (Maharaj Lakshmishwar Singh Memorial College), Darbhanga witnessed a historic beginning under the patronage of Rajkumar Shubheshwar Singh, popularly known as Kumar-Saheb and the dynamic galaxy of eminent scholars and socials workers.
They initiated positive measures and worked tirelessly towards objectives, and as a result, the college came to its brilliant existence in June-July of 1979.
The college, with an illustrious past, emerged as one of the prestigious colleges of a degree college in Science, Arts, and Commerce stream in 1984 with retrospective effect from 1979.
The College was converted into a constituent unit of L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga by the order of Govt. of Bihar in 1986. As a token of acknowledgment and appreciation, the university conferred it Grade ‘A’ in 2010.

Marwari College is a college of the Lalit Narayan Mithila University located in Darbhanga, India. IT was started in 1992 and is affiliated with the Lalit Narayan Mithila University. It is approved by UGC and is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi. They have courses in science, art, and commerce.

The College made a modest beginning at Lalbagh near the University campus in Darbhanga in the year 1958 offering an Intermediate (Arts) program.
The historical evolution of this College started with primary education for girls, being managed and maintained by a non – government organization named Jan – Kalyan Trust. It evoked an overwhelming response from society.
Encouraged by the ever-increasing number of admissions in High school, the members of Jan Kalyan’s trust decided to establish an institution for higher education. The inflow of the students encouraged members of the trust to establish an institution for women.
The college had many ‘first’ to its credit – It is the first Women College of Lalit Narayan Mithila University to offer PG courses and the first to adopt E-Learning methodology including virtual lab.
College also provides a proper platform for the all-round development of students through activities of Sports, NCC, NSS, and Cultural activities. We encourage the participation and involvement of our students in the academic and cultural life of the College.
